Amazing Iraqi restaurant! The decoration is beautiful and gives you a real Iraqi atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The place is clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. The service was excellentβeveryone was friendly, attentive, and professional. The whole experience was great, and you can really feel the Iraqi hospitality. Definitely a place I would recommend and come back to again!

Iβd come back for the lamb kebab, it was very enjoyable. Though, I think the bread could be improved, and the beans served with the kebab seemed to have a bit too much ketchup or tomato paste for my preference As for the Ouzi, it was good overall however, wasnβt quite to my taste due to portion size and for the meat. Overall, a decent experience, and Iβd be happy to return for the kebab.

Service was straightforward and fast. The Shanena was a bit heavy on the salt, but delicious! Food, fairly low flavor, but I have a palate for spices and strong tastes. The meat was either dry and chewy (shawarma), or very fatty (lamb kebabs). For our party of 4, the tip was included. I was not given an itemized bill, so I have no idea how much tip I paid π. Also, we were given menus and after we had a chance to review the items, when it was time to order, we were told about what wasnβt available. Had to change our order completely. Had the food been better, weβd have ventured to the bakery items. But we didnβt dare. Hate to leave a low star review for a family establishment, but much was left to be desired. And for Paterson, there are MANY excellent options at far less cost.
